A FAMILIAR TAIL OF MAGIK GONE AWRY
Some are gifted with greatness. And some have to fight with every breath to be seen.
Cypress Greenewood had one goal in life—become the first magus in a hundred years to leave the village of Edge behind and attend Basalt’s premier magik school. But when Cypress is gifted nothing and Asher Ebon, his greatest rival (and biggest crush) is gifted powerful magik instead, Cypress is left to hopelessly suffer the mockery of his peers.
That is until Cypress is granted a gift that is half blessing, half curse. The Aether Wand. A wand of legend that contains untold potential and even greater danger, as he soon finds out. Because when he brashly casts a bit of magik that goes awry, Cypress accidentally transforms Asher into his cat familiar.
Now Cypress and Asher must travel to Feldspar Academy for the Magikal Arts and survive all the trials that await them in Basaltt’s capital if they’ve any hope of undoing the curse and returning Asher to his proper body.
