It’s August, Story Questers. And throughout this month, I’m challenging you to ignite those creative brains of yours and write a dragon-inspired 250-500 word scene based on the Smaugust prompts below.
These prompts are designed to inspire creativity, encourage positive and healthy writing habits, and challenge you to approach your story creation process in new ways!
You could write any type of scene for the challenge. A side quest for a book you’ve already made. An alternate universe short for an established story. Or something entirely new. Just get writing and have fun!
Here Be Dragons
Peerless creatures of scale and horn soar across the sky like ephemeral dreams. While serpentine monsters slither forth from the shadows of night to devour hapless travelers. Here be dragons, both awe-inspiring and terrible to behold. The things of legends and nightmares.
